I agree with everyone else that says waiting until the 6th gen release, then doing it, won't be enough time for testing. Doing one before 6th gen is ideal.

What we'll likely do then is run a 5th Gen one soon. Probably November, giving people time to enjoy the new X/Y first, then the 6th Gen one will happen in February.
Arphage, Executionator & myself have been "cleaning house" per say. We flushed out all the Draft members, there's no one in it now.
We'll be selecting new leaders to replace the old ones that are no longer active, and we'll go from there. Since it's been such a long time from the last one, it's better to start clean so we have active people participating.
i agree with you Avia.
except that the 6th gen should be on mid january, maybe it

February is better. January is too soon. We have to wait for tiers to work out, we have wait for a PO update that contains Gen 6 support, and we have to re-code & customize that new update with our GTS stuff.
All of it takes time.

Yay the leagues!
Hopefully this time we'll be able to generate enough interest so everyone can have around 4-5 members...

RE: PokeLeague - New Management, New System, New Gen? Discuss!
In my personal opinion for the leagues I would suggest that we stay with a 5th Gen format for this league. The reason I suggest this is that it will give people time to train up their teams for 6th gen, allow us as a community to balance out the OU tier as we will have more usage stats and time for suspect testing and overall less stress on both those running the league and those participating in the league.

Very sorry everyone about the delay without any word on the leagues. I developed Tendinitis which for a while rendered my hands pretty much useless, so naturally I couldn't type either. Trust me, no one wanted me to be physically able to do the leagues more then me. I enjoy running them, but unfortunately I just wasn't able to for a time. I look forward to helping Arphage and Executionator with the leagues now that I am able to type once again though.
