Guide to being a PokemonGTS.com
Friendly User:

Welcome to PokemonGTS.com. First let me start by saying we are glad to have you aboard. Here in the PokemonGTS Online Forum, we strive for a friendly user environment, in which people can come to make trades, have friendly battles, and make some new friends along the way. Here are a few things you can do to help keep our site clean and user-friendly:

Spamming - Spamming is defined as "a disruptive message posted on a computer network with no relevant purpose or amusement.", or basically by posting a "Stupid Pointless Annoying Message". Spamming is frowned upon by most everyone on our site, and may be punished with temporary and/or up to a permanent ban. Please help our site function properly by staying on-topic, and not cluttering our threads and forums with irrelevant posts. Try to keep your posts constructive and contributive to the discussion/topic as well.

Flaming - Flaming is defined as "An online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another." Flaming is NOT tolerated on our site, and will be punished with an immediate 2 day ban, and repetitions of this offense will result in a permanent ban. Please be user friendly, try your best to avoid all arguments, and get along with everyone the best you can. Avoid flaming other members, and everyone will have a great time, and a safe, friendly environment.

Trolling - Trolling can be defined by many things, such as batting people to flame at you. Putting the forum down and encouraging people to leave. Using several identities on a board to support your own arguments. Staging pretend arguments. Generally, being a jerk on a power trip. Trolling should be avoided in all circumstances, and will not be tolerated on our site. Trolling promotes a negative environment, and an unfriendly forum, and that is the opposite of what we are creating here.

Appropriate Post Placement - Often times people will post off-topic posts in any random thread they see. This is frowned upon by the moderating staff and the administration. This will not result in a ban, but repeated warnings and offenses may result in a temporary ban. Odds are users will not receive a permanent ban for misplacing posts, but some exceptions may occur. Each forum section is placed and named according to the relevance of the posts within, please follow those guides to give you an idea of where you need to post what it is you would like to post. Please, spend some time overlooking our site and getting to know our layout. I'm sure in time you'll be quite familiar with things, and where they belong.

Double Posting - Posts are made in threads, and users read posts made by other users. When one user posts multiple time in a row, the thread begins to get cluttered and sloppy, and it generally tends to fall off-topic, and the creator of the thread loses his/her original intention for the thread. Please, when posting in a thread made by someone else, or even one of your own, use one post at a time, and if you missed something, make use of the "edit" button and simply add what you forgot to your old post. This will avoid cluttering the forum.

As long as you are friendly toward the people around you, they will surely return that generosity. All of us together can make this site, PokemonGTS.com, a successful forum, and hopefully our population will continue to increase, and we will continue to grow into a renown Pokemon Fansite.

No problem.
Thumbup
and now they know and knowing is half the battle.
I hope that this is stickied, and if so, that everyone takes a minute to stop and look at it.

I can't stress enough that everyone follows and helps inforce these rules to all members, both present and newer. We should make the MOD's jobs easier by influencing the actions of all, because they shouldn't have to log on everyday to make sure it's all running smoothly.

Let's start a chain reaction.

You play the game on the DS. You don't use this site to play Pokemmon, or to make teams. It's here so you can talk to other people about pokemon, get advice, organise trades, battles tournaments etc.

Hope that helps ^^
Lol, Yep, that is a good guide though, it will help alot of new users, good work.
Great guide! I learned quite a bit.
