Global Trade Station

Come one come all to the (unofficial) GTS tournament of champions! This tournament is a 2 v 2 OU Tier tournament, but not with double battles! You and a partner will work together to beat opponents in 2 seperate 1 v 1 matches, so trust your partner, but in the end all you can rely on is your own skill! 2 wins will advance a group, and 1 - 1 will result in a tie breaker with 1 representative from the team deciding their fate!

RULES:

1. Shoddy and Wi-fi are seperate, so when applying PLEASE state your platform. You MAY apply for both if you'd like!

2. This is a pairs tournament, so do not apply without stating your partner. If you do not have a partner, but want to compete, PM me and you will be alloted a leftover partner. DO NOT do this out of laziness, if this system is abused I will remove it

3. Be polite, and courteous to your opponents. Respect begets respect, stupidity begets ejection from the tournament.

4. This tournament is not official, so don't go around parading it as an official GTS tournament. It is hosted by the gym leaders, but it doesn't beget you anything other than bragging rights, and maybe prizes, we haven't decided.

5. The tier list used for the tourney is the same tier list used on this site.

6. Battles will be best 2/3 in order to minimize hax losses

7. D/C'ing will result in a loss. I know people don't like it, and may sometimes truly have internet issues. However, the matches are 2/3, so if you are having internet issues simply make sure they are fixed before trying again. D/C'ing is too easy to abuse for us to allow it here.

8. You may have 2 different partners in the 2 branches. I.E., you can have one partner in shoddy, and a different one in wi-fi!

9. You cannot change teams during the rounds! Between rounds you may, but you must use the same team per round!

10. Have fun, and try your best!

Dire Hit Can't be used on wifi.

Why bother listing Stick and Lucky Punch? If anyone has the death wish to use Farfetch'd or Chansey in an OU tournament, let them Raise their crit rate if they so Choose.

I was wondering...should there really be a Wifi Tourney going on? Lately everyone has been experiencing Wifi problems, and we all think it's us, but it's actually the wifi system.
Around two nights ago, the whole Nintendo WC system would not work, no one could get on. At first i thought it was me, but then others complained as well, so that answered that. Then these past two days, it's been a DC fest everywhere for wifi battlers. I had a friend of mine telling me about not being able to battle in SSBB, which is a Wii game that uses Nintendo WC, soo...it's Nintendo's problem.

And it really sucks because none of us have been able to either start battles, or finish them. I was battling with some friends from my MSN, and since it was a couple of us, I was hosting the chat, then out of no where, while battling a friend, it DC'd, and i got on the chat to say it dc'd on it's own, and my opponent, and other friends had said the same, and they were doing their own battling. I know that you're rule on DC'ing could work, but right now it's Nintendo having problems, which is out of our reach. So...maybe this (the wifi part) should be held till further notice?

Bummer too because I want to enter, but as I said above, I haven't been able to finish battles. I tried today, and the same thing happened.

@ [juice] wifi tourney should be hosted regardless of wifi problem. im sure most users here have their own hand held device with their beloved train pokemon. some are unfortunate and dont even own a computer. that would be unfair

@ JUiCE: What nintendo does with its wi-fi isn't my concern. I'm not going to cancel an entire section of a tourney out of fear that it wont be fixed by the time we start. If its not, its not, and we can cross that bridge when we come to it, but I'm still hosting it.
