It's such a shame they aren't used anymore in official Tournaments, the original lot of Pokemon cards. Even the most powerful and rare, Charizard, is sorely underpowered by the new cards.
However...
The original cards will always be worth more. Especially if you have a Shadowless card/set! Does anyone here own a Shadowless Pokemon card?
For those who don't know...
What are "Shadowless Cards"?
Shadowless cards are cards from the very first run of Pokemon cards, and they can be distinguished from normal cards by the fact that they have no shadow around the border. Because there was only one printed batch of Shadowless cards, they are very rare and so are worth more than the normal cards. For example, a mint condition PSA grade 10 Shadowless Charizard can easily fetch up to £200+! (Shadowless Charizards have green wings, whereas the normal ones have blue).
Another tip: Shadowless cards have the dates "995,96,98,99" at the bottom, whereas the normal cards have "1995,96,98".
Below: A Shadowless Alakazam card. Notice the lack of shadow around the border, the dates, and even the HP text is a little thinner than normal.

So, does anyone here own one of these rarities? O.o

But I think if you have an error Shadowless card, it's worth even more! There is a Diglett card (not sure if it's Shadowless), and the energy sign is printed sideways, and it's worth like £20-30GBP O.o![[Image: Photo31.jpg]](http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy281/joeyijoeyi/Photo31.jpg)
