Well we've had some of these cards for years(my gf and I)....I have no clue what is good, how to build decks, or sets. Now, we have a huge number of cards, I have not put them together but I would like to learn more before I do put them together. Would anyone want to help me out on how to organise them....I've also thought about buying morecards once in a while, I havn't bought cards in a number of years.
i suggest put them by set order or at least organize them by that 1st.if you got the old school cards the symbol will be on the middle right hand corner if you have the newer versions the symbol will be at the bottom right hand corner
Same, i havent played with my cards for years. I dont even know whats the strongest card now?
It's pretty easy once you start. First off, try to pick out your two favorite types first, because, in my opinion, to have an effective deck you must have a focus. Too many types and it becomes harder to power up your Pokemon. Most start with two types, because it takes more components to power up a single-type deck. Always have plenty of Pokemon that can be easily called into battle (lots of low levels), and supplement them with powerful evolution cards. Focus on creating a deck that's rife with strategic potential. Have cards that can be used to another's optimal advantage.
Yeah I recommend having one or two elements in your deck. Having one makes your deck easier to use because energies will be easier to come by. However, this also makes your deck more vulnerable. Having 2 elements makes it so that if you're faced with an opposing element, you can choose not to send out pokemon who will be weak to your opponent. Having more than two elements is probably a mistake because finding the right energies will become problematic.
To decide which cards to use, you'll really just need to experiment. Build a deck, battle with it, and find out what works for you and what doesn't. Let me know if I can help in any way! =)
