Global Trade Station

Know that I needed to trade in order to get all 493 pokemon and having no one that I can trade with I checked the internet for pokemon trading sites. I found and joined quite a few but soon realised these were inactive with few members.

I came across GTS by accident but it appeared to be a very active and friendly site so I decided to join and am so glad I did.

I found the members were, generally, helpful and they taught me a lot about Pokemon I never knew so that I enjoyed the game more than before, that they were generous giving me pokemon to help me complete my pokedex and usually patient.

I have met many new people here a lot of which I would consider friends and I have tried to give back to the site by offering free things, advice and assistance to other members as I was assisted myself.

Pokemongts is as good as it is thanks to Avia and the staff being so active on the site, keeping it running smoothly, improving and updating it to a level beyond any of the other sites I have seen which keep members like myself interested and the site active. Thanks to all the staff this site is kept a pleasant place for members of all ages. Another bonus is that the site is completely free.

Although the site is mutlinational and members are of many different ages generally they trade and interact well together which is also something I love about this site.

This site has helped me learn patience, trust, sharing, working with others, has helped me socialise and taught me a lot more besides. That is why I love Pokemongts so much and hope it continues for a very long time to come.

I will tell you a story.


It happened in July. My brother had just learned how to use wifi and how to visit the in-game gts. Now knowing my brother he would want to know everything he can about wifi and the in-game gts, so my brother looked it up on google. That is how he bumped into this website. I noticed him on the website and thought, ‘Cool another wesite to go to besides Serebii.’ I registered shortly after my other two brothers. This was the first website that I registered at (I only looked at the news on Serebii). My brother told me that I should finish the game before I start trading with people. (It was my third time playing diamond) I was more eager to finish it. After I finally did I was online almost every single day. I was amazed at how the website worked and how many good people there are out there. But why would I want to go to this website in the first place? People always talk on how great the website is but why would anyone want to go to this site?

To me, and to why I love it so much, is because it brought my liking to Pokemon more, even more than before. I would have never kept the game so long without starting over, I would have never learned twice as much without going here, I would never have gotten all 493 Pokemon in my diamond game, and would never have gotten my small collection of shinys, to my humongous collection. This website runned by great people practically changed my life. If I ever missed a day without visiting it, my day felt weird. This website means so much to me. Though I already liked Pokemon, it was mostly the anime. Now the video game has past by that by a mile......

But one day I almost left the Pokemon gts. I thought I didn’t need it anymore. It was when I got Heart Gold. I thought that I had learned everything I could possibly know; but how very wrong I was indeed. I quickly changed my mind on leaving; I couldn’t do it. After learning so much, helping so many people, I changed my mind. By staying I began to learn even more. Iv breeding, rng breeding, tricks with nature breeding, etc....

And now, I promise to pass the knowledge to other beginners, so that they will be able to learn as much as I. And I also promise to never give up hope on leaving, forever.
