i dont but 4 out 5 battles i am in i see that move or spikes

Yes.
Being able to do damage every time a pokemon switches is awesome. It also makes focus sash useless except on leads.
Going to find the actual percentage of teams with stealth rock, till then I estimate 98%

Haha, ive never used it (Yet) but i am trying to find the perfect pokemon that can use stealth rock, spikes, and poison spikes.... What would that be? lol

Omastar.

Yeah as Fish-E says having that damage is very useful also most of the times it sets up for sweeps very easily. Also like said gets rid of a lot of pesky items like focus sash, btw is focus sash a one use hold item because i somehow lost mine.

Forretress does it better. Skarmory does it best of all! Forretress can also rapid spin though.

Smeargle does it better than Omastar

Sadly yes.. I mean its a good move, but its so annoying that 95% of people use it. Its like I have to bring someone with rapid spin to each battle.

I always have a pokemon with stealth rock, even though I've only played about 5 battles. But as a lot of others have said, it's awesome being able to get a bit of damage when a pokemon switches in. But not all people use it.

I personally don't, I like Toxic Spikes much better.

Some sort of entery damage has become standard in the OU metagame and other tiers. A good many players use it because it can make the difference between a KO or getting KO yourself. Sometimes that 'little' amount of damage would be all that kept some pokes alive after a hard hit. If the opposing pokemon didn't faint it could mean loosing your own. More so I see Roar + Stealth rock so much it isn't funny which does add up over time.

On my shoddy team I have the sleep powder/toxic spikes combo on roserade that works very well.
But, on my wifi team my ttar has Stealth Rock. I love it, especially when I have to face charizards or if noobs use ubers like ho oh

i took out two pokemon near the endgame of one of my UU battles because I stealth rocked at the beginning and whirlwinded w/ my hariyama. Also what helped me a great deal was my cloyster rapid spinned away SR during the midgame.
It could really come down to SR, a psuedohaze move and rapid spin being on a team or not.

In short, it is understanding that the majority of battlers will use entry hazards. It is severley advised that either the lead (preferable) or a supporter (less preferable) sets up some form of entry hazards, and that, yes, you bring a rapid spinner to most battles. The thing about rapid spinners, however, is that is not all they can do. Forretress can set up its own hazards; Omastar can make for a nasty special sweeper in the process, Starmie can use bulk and Recover, and threaten many switches, and Tentacruel is a beastly special wall and an excellent Infernape counter.

I haven't used it ever in my life, but most of the people I battle uses that.

The thing I find hard about both spikes and toxic spikes is the fact that to get the "really" good damage you have to use 3 and 2 turns respectively stacking the layers + stealth rock. Now while that is an insane amount of damage the problem is that while your doing that something like a porygon-Z or some other sweeper (dragon dance pokemon are common examples) can switch in and set up on your team and then sweep without any effort.
The other problem I have with using anything other than stealth rock is the fact that all that time you spent building it all up (6 turns for all 3 moves to full effectiveness) is the fact that a single Pokemon can come in and rapid spin all that hard work away.
Other ways to nullify the aforementioned moves of Spikes, Stealth rock, and Toxic spikes for example would be to use a grounded poison type pokemon (Muk is the most common) that when comes out absorbs the toxic spikes and removes them. Spikes can be temporarily nullified by switching in an flying type pokemon or one with the levitate ability. Stealth rock is often the hardest one to combat as its effected by weakness and resistances. Which funny enough is how you survive against it. Just try to only send out pokemon who resist rock type moves instead of those who are weak or super weak (Charizard *cough cough*) to it.
