Yes this is much like the Halloween Event.
Each Pokemon found is worth a set amount of points, the snow has blown in a ton of wilds as well. Wilds are worth points too but much less.
Prizes will be announced near the end of the event.

Will we know what pokemon we are looking for, and when we find them what do we do?
we will know when we see em.
If it's like the halloween event, when you open up a thread there is a chance of a pokemon being hidden in there. When you open the thread a notification is sent to Avia and so she can work out who found the most of her pokemon.
