We're thinking of using Draft Picks in the future.
It'd have to come next Wi-FI Quarter though because we need a tournament to happen first.
How it'll work is, Draft picks will be assigned out based on the last Tournament ranking.
The winning team, would get the lowest Draft pick.
The lowest losing team, gets the highest draft pick.
Just before the Tourney is about to start, recruiting members will FREEZE.
No one can recruit anymore.
Then soon after the first tourney, we can assign out the draft picks, and allow the teams to recruit again.
8 picks, 8 days of recruiting.
#1 picks goes first, #2 goes next, and etc.
Each team are responsible for their own battlers scouting.
And yes, Picks can be traded too.
And no, this doesn't necessarily mean you have to kick players out.
You can trade 2 players to another team that has open slots for 1, to clear up space.
We may increase the members cap to 12, so you have 2 more.
During the draft picks, you can only recruit 1 or 2 new members. Depending what we decide then.
After the 8 days of draft picks are over, it's FREE for all.

Remember, the better you do, the lower your draft pick. Personally, I think the idea will add a new level of competitiveness to the future tourneys, as it means that sometimes you won't always have your "Dream Team" of the best battlers around. It also means that sometimes you might have to fight against your friends, or even against battlers you'd hope to have avoided. All of which creates more personal rivalry, as unless you are a team leader, your spot in any team is never solid, so while yes, you should be loyal to the team you are on, you also have to be willing to accept that you might not be on them forever.
I think this is a good idea to stop the formation of teams that win 80-100% of their matches, ruining the fun for everyone else.
I agree it seems like a good idea.
I think it's both, good and bad.
It's bad because people will be upset about their constant team change. Also, people might not try hard to win on certain teams, cause they favor a different team, and are waiting to be on it. That would cause unfairness and what not in the tourney.
It's good because it will give everyone a chance to battle everyone, and will give people a chance to see people in action. It will also mix things up a bit. I also agree with Flamin Flannery.
I was thinking just that. Though it can be a good idea if the people cooperate and turn it into a learning experience building more future competitive battlers. Maybe then we can have our own server on shoddy battle, although it may take more time than I make it look like it will.
Ya, and if everyone can become a competitive battler, we can all go join the VGT's going around our areas, and we can all end up at Worlds!!
I've actually decided to go with this now.
Definitely sounds like a good plan to me. It certainly adds a new level of strategy when the teams constantly change.
I think it's great. Make it harder for the same team to win every season.

While it would be fun to mix things up once or twice, we should still be on the same team. I mean, the first tourney would be held, then the draft thing, and after that the teams stay the same for a little while before switching. I mean, if they're supposedly balanced after the drafts, then why switch again? Like I always say: if it ain't broke, then don't fix it.

Yes I'm sure, I don't see it going 1-8 then 1-8 again, that's unfair to the #8 slot.
This is an excellent idea as we will not see teams such as Hang-Fish-Macle as we were scared of seeing. Also I'm fine with the teams changing as the team leaders must show their will and make good decisions with different members. Members should be cool with this too as it gives them the opportunity to work with different esteemed members of the site.
Yes, it will also prevent Fmp's team from happening again. lol
If you like consistency, then the only way to do that is to become a leader or dont participate, that is if this idea kicks off, and it seems that it has already in the postplanning stages.
