they're really good ideas. i forgot about zapdoes i'm deffo using that.
could anyone provide descriptions underneath to explain the movesets and what they're good for? then i can use them properly.
Golem should be your lead and set up stealth rock. this way whenever your opponent switches, they receive damage each time. Earthquake and Stone Edge are suppose to coverage while Explosion is used when you know Golem is about to faint. You have to use it during the turn which you think Golem will end up having low HP since it has low speed and will most likely faint next turn. Explosion has a high damage stat and will mostly like faint the other pokemon unless it is a ghost, steel, rock or blissey.
Empoleon's moveset is about causing trouble. Using yawn, the opponent won't probably want to stay since they'll have a 100% (except for insomnia/vital spirit pokemon) chance of falling asleep in two the next turn after yawn was used. Stealth Rock will activate each time they switch. If they do decide to wait it out and not switch, Empoleon has a great STAB move Surf which could do heavy damage or could use ice beam against the ever commonly played dragons. Leftovers will help recover some of the damage taken when trying to yawn the opponents.
Sceptile's moveset is all about powering up and attacking. Using Swords Dance, it will double his attack and can cause massive damage. Leaf Blade covers water, rock, and ground. Earthquake covers rock, steel, fire, poison, and electric. Dragon Claw covers again dragon types while Brick Break covers steel, ice, normal, rock, and dark. Sceptile can cover a potential of 10 types this, including dragon, steel, and ground, some of the most common types out there. Life Orb boosts the amount of damage by 1.3x but will come at a cost of 10% recoil damage. If you don't like recoil, go for expert belt will cause 1.2x damage to super effective moves. Sceptile's listed moveset can cover 10/17 pokemon types which is a lot.
Weavile is all about prediction if your going with a choice band. Pursuit is there to OHKO psychic pokemon you think would want to escape Weavile such as Azelf, Alakazam and Cresselia. Ice Punch and Night Slash are both good STAB moves and Brick Break is a good move for coverage. Ice Punch covers Dragon, Flying, Grass, and Ground. Night Slash covers psychic and ghost pokemon (namely Gengar and Dusknoir). By going with Jolly nature, Weavile can outspeed many threats that can OHKO it since it does have a quad weakness to rock and poor defenses. By compensating for speed by going with Jolly nature, you can put on Choice Band which will increase the physical attack by 1.5x. But before choosing an attack, make a prediction to which move will most likely be super effective against other pokemon. I usually go for Ice Punch since it has fantastic coverage and has STAB. You could always switch to Golem (against) physical sweeper or Empoleon (against special sweepr) if you need to switch its attacks.
If you need anymore help, feel free to pm.
wow, you're good, thanks for the help!
just to point out, if you want a good electric type that isn't a legendary, then use Jolteon.
Moves:Thunder (powerful)
Raindance (increase thunders accuracy)
Baton pass
Substitute (then use baton pass to get a sub to another pokemon)
Item: thunder plate (not sure if its the right name)
Hope this helped.
