What is the GTSGL? It's short for the GTS Gaming League, a project I've been thinking up for quite some time. It wasn't always as it is now, but this is the final evolution of it, and I feel ready to unveil it.
Still wondering what exactly it is? It's a group for gamers on the site. Like a clan, but without the formal clan structure. A clan that serves a purpose.
Members of the GTSGL will have the ability to participate in monthly gaming events for prizes and bragging rights. More events may be held if demand is high enough. The specific games to be played and the gametypes to be used in matches will be voted on by members before each Game Day. Basically, this is a chance to win prizes, show off your skills, and have fun. It's really a win-win situation for those of us with game systems that are connected online.
For now, however, this is basically here for members to sign up. I'm too busy at the moment to hold the events (at least for the 360, as that is what I'll be coordinating), but within a few weeks I should be ready to hold the first event for the 360 owners. For now, you can reply here to sign up as either a member or a coordinator for any of the other systems. If you want to be a member, all you need to post is a list of your systems, games you own that are multiplayer capable, and any account names that you use for gaming online. If you wish to be a coordinator, post the same but include the position you want, but be warned that I will be extensively researching you before I give the position. As a coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing the monthly events for your assigned platform, which includes prizes and taking care of troublemakers.
And lastly, some basic rules to follow. More may be added in the future:
Rules for membership:
~Any member may join the GTSGL. However, we reserve the right to turn you down based on behavior.
~The leaders of the group (the people who are handling the specific gaming platforms) have the right to remove any member from the GTSGL based on behavior around the forums, infraction levels, and behavior during events, after consulting the entire group of leaders.
~If you are removed from the group entirely, you must wait two months before requesting to rejoin.
Rules for events:
~We will follow a "Three Strike" system. Once you accumulate three strikes, you will be removed from the event that is occurring at that very moment by the host, and depending on the severity of the offenses, you may be banned from participating in a certain number of future events. The following actions are not allowed and will result in strikes:
~Members may not participate in events if they have more than a 20% infraction level.

- Excessive trash talking, insulting other players, swearing, and using racist language. If you intend to make use of a headset, use it in a mature manner. Any of these actions will earn you a strike, except for the use of racist language. If you are heard using a racist term, you will be immediately ejected, no excuses.
- "Backstabbing"/Friendly Fire. If you're going to play on a team, respect the team. Do not suddenly decide that you hate a member of your team and you're suddenly going to start killing them instead of the opposing team members.
~Members may not participate in events if they have more than a 20% infraction level.
