Hey guys its me. Im currently ev training my Houndoom and I remember I have 31 ivs in sp attack and 31 ivs in defense. So is it a good idea to ev in defense. I say yes cuz hes weak against more physical type attacks than special.
Anyway his Moveset will be:
Dark Pulse
Nasty Plot
Overheat
Flamethrower
I added overheat instead of fireblast cuz nasty plot will cancel the effect out.
Tell me what you think oh yea ev in defense or speed?
speed really is a must i think, but if you plan to nasty plot alot then you're going to need defense.
Personally, i think speed is the best choice.
On a nasty plot set Overheat is more of a hindrance than a help. That type of move is better used on a choice specs set that'll be switching in and out a lot. I think you'd be better served adding will-o-wisp to cripple physical attackers or pursuit to catch switching psychics. WoW, can also cause switches allowing you to get off another nasty plot, so may be the better move. Hidden Power fighting would be useful but a PiTA to breed for so...
Also what nature is it? If it's not Timid or atleast Modest I think you should get another one.
The EVs I'd recommend would be a simple, 252Spd/252SpA/4HP. Maybe throw a few into Attack if you're using pursuit, and feel confident about getting the flash-fire boost.
i think you should fit in W.o.W becasue not only does it deal D.O.T but itll also 1/2 there attack (no need for def. evs.) and so u can focus on speed while ev training. i suggest using
