The route outside canclave, in the grass use a pokeradar.
Theres no place in pearl or diamond. You have to migrate from emerald where you get it in the fossil mainicas cave after you beat the elite four. Hey I have a spear I can trade you though

i migrated my ditto but if you use a pokeradar on that route on canalave, its possible but i heard their really rare.

They're rare if you randomly blunder into any bush that is shaking, but they show up in the yellow sparkling bushes 20% of the time.
Read the "how to get a poke chain going" part of any shiny catching guide, and then once you run into a ditto, keep that chain going. I caught 20 or so of them last night (I want to have one of each nature for breeding purposes).
I thought they could only be found in the Underground...
