Porygon also worked for me, and later, Porygon2. Very useful discovery!

I did it on a Rhydon to a Rhyperior and it worked just fine.

It works everybody, just make sure you have a trade that you are certain you can trade with...it took me ages to find one

so it works but will it mess up ur game if not pokedex gets alot o new entries

It doesn't look like it messes up your game. It never messed up for me. It may be just an ordinary glitch, like the duplication, but better.
