soo.. i've been using this team lately, and it seems to be doing me some good,

but everytime i fight someone better -cough Tama cough-, my team seems to have difficulty taking hits, and switching safely

i'm posting my team here cuz,

1. I have no answer to my problem

2. Too lazy to put in some extra effort

3. Thought some input from others could help me answer my problem

so here it goes:

My Lead:

Weaville
252 Att/Spd
Jolly Nature (+ spd, - sp att)
Holding: Choice Band

Ice Punch
Pursuit
Aerial Ace
Brick Break

Weaville's been faithful, gets in, kicks a**, gets out. thing is, i have a hard time putting it in a 2nd time, unless it's a revenge kill. Has Max IVs/EVs giving it 383 Speed, only 5 non-ubers can beat it at speed, and it's tied with Swellow. Should i take out Choice Band tho? for LifeOrb/FocusSash?

Phys Sweeper:

Salamence
252 Att/Spd
Naughty (+ att, - sp def) (i know, shoulda gone with Adamant, don't remind me)
Holds: Yache Berry

Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Flamethrower

My Late sweeper, picks up the pieces and just causes havoc, saved me a couple of times. Dragon Dance on a swithc/weak move, and watch the sparks fly. Claw for STAB, EQ for coverage, Flamethrower for those pesky Steels (Bronzong/Skarm)

SPecial Sweepers:

Gengar
252 SpAtt/Spd
timid (+ speed, - att)
Wide Lens

Shadow Ball
Thunder Bolt
Focus Blast
Hypnosis

Focus Blast and Shadow Ball = at least neutral on everything
Tbolt for coverage, Hypnosis those buggers that give me a hard time, Example: Gengar vs Garchomp, Gengar goes first, uses Hypnosis, puts it to sleep for a couple of turns, 2HKO with STAB Shadow Ball

Lucario
252 Sp att, enough to get 280 Speed, rest in HP
Naive Nature (+spd, - sp def)
Choice Scarf

Aura Sphere
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Psychic

at 280 Speed, and Scarf, it outruns everything, including Adamant Ninjask, lol. But it seems like Lucario is expendable... any good ideas??

Walls:

Skarmory
252 Def/HP
Bold (+def, -att)
Leftovers

Whirlwind
Spikes
Stealth Rock/Toxic
Roost

the damned skarmory my peers hate XD seems to be getting alot of hate on this site, but oh well, you know the drill... Walls, sets up spikes, toxics, and Roosts off damage. Especially used against Outrage Chomps/Nites, basically Outraging Dragons

Dusknoir
252HP/76Def/The rest on Sp Def
Careful, i think... +sp def, - sp att
Leftovers

Thunder Punch
Pain Split
Will-o-Wisp
Shadow Sneak

New addition, seems to fit well, Tpunch for gyara, WoW to burn for DOT and lowers Att, Shadow Sneak for Alakazam and the such, Pain Split for healing

any suggestions folks?
Weaville
needs sswords dance
it's choice banded, i don't need Swords Dance
with you permission, may i(for a price) clone your weavile, i've been looking for a god one...??
Yay, a competent team, with all the necessities + comments!

Ok after looking over your team theres not much advice i can give to improve your team. They all work well by themselves and i believe all their sets are standard. The only flaw in this team is that i think you have just thrown a random group of pokes together, picking out of personal preference, to fit certain roles (eg: special wall). How has it been working out for you?

One piece of advice as i have seen this posted quite a few times...
Always, always have drill peck/ brave bird on Skarmony. Trust me. You need to be able to damage things. There's a move called taunt out there, which wouldn't normally be such a big issue, except that one of the biggest, meanest pokemon out there (gyra), which Skarmony is supposed to counter, commonly carries taunt which completely shutdowns your version of Skarmony. Completely. Abosulte. You get reduced to using struggle for gods sake. Unless you switch giving Gyra a free turn to dragon-dance (which you do not want).

the pokes are doing well, so far... my only problem is Lucario, he seems almost fragile to switch in, with so many EQ's around, he's a OHKO, i'm thinking of taking him out, but i don't know of another special sweeper to take his place. I'm thinking Starmie, but then that would mean i would get hurt by Dusknoir's Shadow Sneak, and with gengar and starmie's frail defences (gengar base 60, starmie base 85, but seriously, it's not gonna go much higher than 180), and the way that some people put EVs in Dusknoir's att, it's most likely a 2HKO..... i don't think i wanna use Pory-Z, it seems to have the same thing Lucario did, and looking for something a lil extra

the Skarm problem, yeah... with soo much Gyara's running around, and with Taunt playing a big role, i guess i'll put Drill Peck,

but i guess that means i have to Breed another Skarm..

oh well

soo the "damned annoying skarm" everyone hates is going down

for an even more annoying one XD

what should be that skarm's move set?

Whirlwind
Roost
Stealth Rock
Drill Peck?
I like it a properly made RMT I agree with SUlla we need more of these.
What can I say.... That hasn't been said by Sulla already?
xD
Not much unfortunately.

Maybe tell us how you keep on losing to Tama?
Which poke screws you over? etc.

I like SpecsLuke my self it doesn't hit hard enough for a scarfer and SpecsLuke gives it a chance of 2HKO'ing a 252HP, 252 DEF + DEF nature Blissey I think?
your problem could be not much defence ?

weavile
really easy to take out 1attack more or less kills it

salamance
like wevile both defences are low 1 dragon attack =dead

gengar
can only really take 2hits AT MOST then it dies

skarmory
one thunderbolt and skarm is out

lucario
has low defence and is week to
5 types of attack

dusknior is your only real defence

but thats only what i think Biggrin
@nattyb i was wondering about SpecsLuke, but... then my Lucario is just too d*** slow... i really need a replacement for it..

umm.. Tama, i couldn't exactly find a safe switch in, he'd have a Poke like, Pory-Z, scarf, max speed, Modest, used Dark Pulse..

couldn't exactly safely switch,

@Misa Misa, i know my pokes don't have much defence, Weaville can't really take a hit, it's a revenge killer, and i put it in when i'm expecting a psychic or something,

Salamence: i chose to go Naughty after all, cuz well,

i need a bigger punch on Flamethrower, and i don't wanna use Fire Blast

and, i use Salamence to switch in on Fighting physical atts,

it usually survives a hit, at around, 30-40%,

they switch out, i DD, sweep,

especially cuz Intimidate lowers their ATT, giving me a better chance to survive.

Gengar, yeah, i know, 2hits and death,

Skarm, one Tbolt, yeah... maybe i should put Electivire... or maybe a poke that's a Ground type (Rhyperior maybe?)

Dusknoir... wall ftw XD

btw, i thought i stated that Misa Misa, : "but everytime i fight someone better -cough Tama cough-, my team seems to have difficulty taking hits, and switching safely"
That's not right Skarmory is hard as hell to take down.
252 max sp.atk Modest Magnezone = 2HKO.
Skarmory is not lacking defenses at all.

Maybe you need a really effective special wall?

EDIT: Replace Lucario for a tank with a grass or electric move if possible.
